ONE PERSON – ONE UAN (UAN EPF Accounts)
UAN under EPFO stands for Universal Account Number. Universal Account Number (UAN) is a 12 digit number which is provided to an Employee/Individual/Person/Worker by different Private Establishments through the Employees’ Provided Fund Organisation (EPFO) through which they can manage their PF accounts. UAN is issued by Employees’ Provided Fund Organisation Commonly known as EPFO which comes under the Ministry of Employment and Labour, Gov. of India.
There is no need to obtain UAN again in case of change of job, as UAN is a one-time permanent number which remain same throughout the employee’s working life. Every employee got unique EPF UAN active account on the respective portal after submitting verification of his/her required credentials, then that can be log in through his/her current uan account and password. Every employee also gets important notifications by the said authority through SMS or e-mail on the registered id of concerned UAN employee.
If any employee having multiple epf account number (UAN) then they can replace their all old pf account/UAN deactivated account/existing UAN/previous UAN deactivated/blocked UAN/two UAN EPF accounts/more epf account transferred/epf account linked/merge into one active UAN account/new epf account/unique acctive account/new UAN/current UAN on the EPF employees’ portal.
Reasons for allotment of Different UANs Numbers to Single Member :
1.Not filing of Date of Exit by your previous employer in ECR filing.
2.Non-disclosure of previously allotted UAN By the Member.
3.Lack of Knowledge of previously allotted UAN to the Member.
